Door Prop
There are many companies out there overselling forcible entry props. Selling props you can’t afford, to teach skills you wont remember in the heat of the moment doesn’t help anyone. These door props are perfect for what we need them to be- the BASICS. Purchase via email at info@iarescue.com or on our website here.

While this is our take on what firefighters needed in a training door, this prop would not be here if it wasn't for the many innovators before us. Our hope is that one of you reading this will someday further enhance the design in a positive way, just like we have done with the prop you see now. The "woods forcible entry door prop kit" is a great example of an early innovator in this area and they are still making a great door. If you already purchased one of theirs, consider making an upgrade to the lock set with IAR and our lock system that eliminates the need for wedging the door tight. We are happy to sell part or all of this kit to meet the needs of your unique situations.
With this setup you can learn and perfect the irons work your crews will need to be successful on every fire of your career. The basics work all the time, and bad fires are usually made worse due to poor performance of the basics.
The original door prop design has been continually improved to reach the current design, and features replaceable striking surfaces, and a modular design that allows for easy transport in a pickup truck, and the ability to use on or near an acquired structure. This is presented at a fraction of the cost of other financially unattainable commercial props.
Kit comes with all metal parts and hardware for a dual door setup. You must locally source or make a solid core door, 2 6x6's, and a 12x2x10.
The process to put together the kit is very simple, and the cost for this door is FAR under all other commercially available props. Some of the features include a heavy duty base that can be bolted to an acquired structure or placed on wooden boards for station use. TWO lock sets allow you to put the pressure on as members gain confidence, and T handle bolts that eliminate the need to constantly be wedging your 1x2 strips in the lock every rep.
We are constantly improving every detail. Most recently we moved from a bent angle on the door lock assembly in favor of an actual cut and welded seam. This means a tighter fit for a realistic gap for your irons work.
Our door hinges use a separate backer plate and the included hardware is through bolted instead of using lags for a tight fit that will last thousands of reps in the door you mount up.
We are starting to get requests for the lock, hinge, and jamb sets without the base or top, for departments that already own training buildings and want to install these in the existing door frames. We can definitely accommodate those custom orders and look forward to working with you!
