The Major Trauma Kit consists of the following items packaged in a water-resistant dry bag for storage in your home or hunting bag. If you own a business or facility like a church or school we have the option to purchase a rugged poly wall cabinet and place up to two units inside, or a more simple yet visible option when the enclosed rugged cabinet is not necessary.
The Iowa American Rescue - Major Trauma Kit can treat at least the following injuries, with many more potentially improvised using the equipment provided:
Tourniquet on serious extremity bleeding
Bleeding in the core or where a tourniquet cannot be applied (wound packing)
General wound bandaging
Sucking chest wounds (petrolatum gauze as a chest seal)
